PDOE Press – Pohnpei State Department of Education hosted their annual “Education Day 2023.” This year’s event was continued from the previous day’s celebration  and continued at the Sekere School in the Sokehs municipality.

The focus of the day was on the theme “Endless Educational Commitments Ensure and Promote All Learning Capacities.” The event was filled with activities aimed at promoting the importance of education and its role in the development of Pohnpei.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to the teachers of the year, students, and staff of the year. The awardees were recognized for their outstanding contributions and dedication to the improvement of the educational system in Pohnpei.

The students who excelled in their academic and co-curricular activities also received their awards. The recognition aimed to inspire students to continue striving for excellence and to appreciate the value of education.
